Our Hotel is the Original "Life" Magazine Building and was built in 1894, it still retains the charm and humor of its original occupants. Through the years the building was changed in many ways, leaving the floor plans a little different at each alteration. There are many different size rooms throughout the Hotel, behind the scenes, a complete renovation and modernization brings you to the Hotel as it stands today.

In our desire to serve you better, please keep this information in mind when you choose a room. . . All of our rooms have Air Conditioning and In-Rooms Safes, Satellite Direct TV, FREE Wi-Fi and your Basic Amenities. Our Rates are The Best Value in NYC, and The Policy of Not Supplying Everything You Could Ever Use in each room, goes a long way to keeping the rates reasonable in this day of ever increasing costs. If you need anything else, or something you might have forgotten, it is available at the front desk . . . Just for the asking.

A budget minded single traveler or couple with backpacks or small suitcases traveling to New York City with Sightseeing, Shopping and Entertainment on their agenda can choose a Standard Room - a Comfortable Double Bed, with a full Private Bathroom.

A business person, couple or small family who wants to spread out should reserve a Large Double Room - One or Two Very Comfortable Double Beds with Private Bathroom. Our truly best value . . . Best rooms in the house.

All of our rooms represent an excellent value, but our most popular rooms are the larger rooms. Just tell the front desk and we will fit your needs with a room that makes you happy.

Please have proper photo identification with you upon checking in to the hotel, (valid license, Passport etc.) it will assist us with your Hotel registration.

The small size of our unique Hotel allows us to only receive Small Groups. Two or Three Families traveling together, or other Special Accommodations are Welcome. More than TWO rooms on one Reservation ( or credit card ) will be treated as a Group, and are subject to the Managers approval.
